Apple is expected to hold a media event in late March to announce the iPhone 9, a refreshed MacBook Pro, and some other products. A new report from iPhone-ticker claims that Apple will be holding a media event at the end of March.

As per the publication’s sources, Apple will be holding a media event on March 31. Given that the company tends to hold a media event almost every year towards the end of March, this date does seem plausible. The company will announce the iPhone 9/SE 2 at the event alongside some other products. Following the announcement, the iPhone 9 will go on sale on April 3.

In 2019, Apple had held its media event on March 25 where it announced a bunch of services including Apple Card, Apple TV+, and Apple News+.

Apart from the iPhone 9, Apple could release iOS 13.4 to the public on the same day. Other possible product announcements include a 13-inch MacBook Pro refresh, updated iPad Pro, and more.

It is possible that Apple ends up being forced to change its launch plans for the iPhone 9 due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Another report has claimed that the iPhone 9 production and launch is still on track for a March announcement despite the virus outbreak and the shutdown in China. Yet, a lot depends on how things play out in China and whether Apple’s entire supply-chain is operational by the end of this month or not.
