Apple iPhone 8 Series

It was reported that Apple had planned to launch its low-cost iPhones by the end of March 2020, but the plan got delayed due to the COVID-19 situation. Now, it is being reported that the Cupertino-based company is planning to launch the iPhone 9 series in April

According to a tweet from YouTuber Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech, Apple has decided in an internal meeting to announce the iPhone 9 on April 15. He also mentions that the internal meeting happened yesterday, and the shipments of the iPhone 9 devices will start from April 22.

If we’re to believe Jon Prosser, Apple has been shipping iMacs to select retail employees. These employees have been asked to work from home, and the company is training them in order to offer sales and tech support online to customers. The company will likely launch the new iPhone without a press event and unveil the devices during an online-only launch.

The announcement and launch dates could change due to the deadly virus outbreak, which has also been affecting the development of Apple products and the production of devices in China and India. The company had to close its retail stores in China, the US, and other countries.

The iPhone 9 is expected to come in two screen sizes: 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch. The iPhone 9 and the iPhone 9 Plus will reportedly feature a Touch ID sensor, the Apple 13 Bionic processor, 3GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage, a 12MP rear-facing camera, and a 12MP selfie camera. The iPhone 9 will reportedly be priced at $399, while the iPhone 9 Plus could be priced at $549.
