A new rumor from Japanese website Mac Otakara claims that Apple will be debuting its new iPad Pro 2 lineup at a March event. In addition, the company will also be launching a 128GB iPhone SE and a new red color option for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

The new iPad Pro 2 lineup from Apple will include refreshed variants of the existing 12.9-inch and 9.7-inch iPad Pro, with a bezel-less 10.5-inch iPad Pro being a new addition to the lineup. As for the iPhone SE, it will only be available in a higher 128GB storage capacity and will not get any other upgrades. Apple will also launch new Apple Watch bands at the event which is clear from the fact that most bands are currently out of stock on the company’s online store.

Interestingly, the rumor claims Apple will also debut a red color iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus at the event. This is the first time such a rumor has popped up so until it is corroborated with more leaks or different sources, it is better to take it with a pinch of salt. The only rumor we have heard about a red iPhone before pertains to Apple launching an ‘iPhone 7s’ with the new color option later this year.

A new red color option will definitely help in reviving sales of the iPhone 7 for the next couple of quarters. Apple, however, has never launched a new color option for the iPhone in the middle of its lifecycle so it remains unlikely that the company will go ahead with this move.

Do you think you will buy a red iPhone 7 if Apple launches one in March?
