Official 1.1.3 Upgrader: Automatic Graphical Method for Upgrading to a Jailbroken iPhone Firmware v1.1.3

If you are one of those who is finding it difficult to jailbreak iPhone firmware v1.1.3 then things have got a lot easier as the iPhone hacking community have just sanctioned an automatic graphical method for upgrading to a jailbroken iPhone firmware v1.1.3 called "Official 1.1.3 Upgrader".

So you no longer need to worry if the method is for Windows or for Mac as all this can now be done from your iPhone itself. Read all the details about the automatic graphical method for upgrading to a jailbroken iPhone Firmware v1.1.3 after the jump.

We have seen couple of methods to Jailbreak iPhone v1.1.3, iPhone hacker Natetrue was the first one to publish methods to jailbreak iPhone v1.1.3 for both Mac and Windows. However, many within the iPhone hacking community raised legal concerns as well as highlighted problems that it broke "Nikita" (Apple’s method for signing applications) and hence could prevent installation of official third-party applications when they are authorized by Apple.

After a couple of days we had the ever so reliable iPhone Dev Team releasing their method to jailbreak the iPhone firmware v1.1.3. If that wasn’t good enough we now have an automatic graphical method for upgrading to a jailbroken iPhone firmware v1.1.3 thanks to a method called “Official 1.1.3 Upgrader” sanctioned by the iPhone Dev team which preserves Nikita, and has been seen to be less problem-prone than Natetrue jailbreak methods.

Before you start the jailbreak process On your jailbroken iPhone/iPod Touch v1.1.2 it is advisable to take the some precautions such as change the auto-lock settings to "Never" in order to prevent it from shutting down the connection. Also ensure that you are connected via Wi-Fi as the installer downloads a significant amount of data. Also conncect the charge cable to your iPhone.

So how do you get it to work:

Simply launch Installer on your jailbroken iPhone/iPod Touch v1.1.2, then go to “All Packages,” then select and install “Official 1.1.3 Upgrader” which will result in all necessary files to be downloaded directly to the iPhone/iPod Touch and the jailbreak process automatically performed.
