The built-in Alarm feature of iOS is very useful for waking up at the right time in the morning. It offers a range of alarm tones to choose from and you can even set a custom song from the Music app as the alarm tone, but waking up to the same song every day can become ineffective.
CasualAlarm is a new jailbreak tweak that wakes you up to a new alarm tone every day by randomly choosing a song from your Music library. With it, you no longer have to listen to the same annoying alarm song every morning.
To get started after installing the tweak, go to the Alarm section of the Clock app and set a new alarm. You’ll notice that the tweak sets the sound of the alarm to “Random Song”, thereby choosing a different song every time the alarm plays.
When CasualAlarm is enabled, it doesn’t allow you to select a specific song unless you disable it. To do so, head to the tweak’s preferences pane in Settings and you’ll find a kill-switch toggle for enabling or disabling it on demand. In case the tweak doesn’t work, you can use the toggle to disable and re-enable it to work.
As you can see, it’s very easy to set up CasualAlarm. The only downside is that once you enable it, all alarm songs will be randomized, so you cannot select a specific song for some alarms and randomize for others. Other than this, it works perfectly as advertised and provides a unique experience waking up to a different alarm song every morning.
If you’re in to give this tweak a try, it is available for free of charge and works with iOS 9. Let us know what you think about it in the comments below.
