Disney+ is Disney's streaming platform

Disney+ has gotten off to a great start by amassing more than 10 million subscribers in just one day. The streaming service was launched on November 12, 2019, and offers all your favorite shows. For the sake of comparison, Netflix has more than 158 million subscribers worldwide.

Interestingly Disney+ is only available in the U.S, Canada, and the Netherlands as opposed to Netflix which marks its presence in more than 190 countries. Meanwhile, Disney+ will soon be available in Australia and New Zealand. In all likelihood the service will amass more subscribers as and when it is launched into new markets. Moreover, Disney+ service suffered from an error titled “Unable to connect to Disney+” on the launch day.

Disney+ has a subscription fee of $6.99/month or $69.99 per year. Disney+ launches with a massive content library that includes a number of popular movies and TV shows from the house of Walt Disney Studios, 21st Century Fox, Marvel Studios, Pixar, and more. Additionally, the service will also launch with some original content including ‘The Mandalorian.’ In total, the streaming service will have over 7,500 TV shows and movies available for streaming at launch.

Our Take

There is no doubt that Disney+ has had a successful launch. However, it is still premature to learn whether or not the people will keep subscribed to Disney+. Probably all the people who signed up have opted for the 7-day trial post which they need to pay $7/month or $70/year.
