There have been several rumors claiming that Apple’s design head Jony Ive is leading the “De-forstallization” of iOS, removing the excessive skeuomorphism and adding a “very flat” UI.
A new concept shows how iOS 7 with a “very flat” interface might look like. The concept video, made by the folks at SimplyZesty, shows an entirely new lock screen with weather and clock overlays and a relocated “slide to unlock” slider.
The home screen grid remains fairly the same except that icons have now become squares instead of the earlier round rects. The design of the icons themselves is very “flat” as you’d expect.
The video shows a new app launch animation, an all-new look for the calendar, music and camera apps. Swiping from the top brings a widgets window, showing now playing info, running apps, and settings toggles.
Tell us what you think about the concept below in the comments section.
