Have you been desperately waiting to downgrade your iPhone 3GS’s baseband, which you had upgraded to 06.15.00 baseband? Then we’ve some good news, as MuscleNerd reported yesterday that he has successfully managed to downgrade an iPhone 3GS on 06.15.04 to 05.13.04.

Back in 2010, iPhone Dev team had released a solution that allowed users to unlock their iPhone 3GS by upgrading the baseband to 06.15.00. Unfortunately, the solution caused GPS issues and it was also not possible to downgrade the baseband.

But it looks like that is soon going to change as MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev has now revealed that he has figured out a way to downgrade 06.15.00 baseband.

Please note that this is only for iPhone 3GS users who had upgraded the baseband to 06.15.00.

MuscleNerd hasn’t provided any ETA on when he will release the solution to downgrade the baseband. It will also be interesting to see if he figures out a way to downgrade baseband for iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 so that users can use Ultrasn0w to unlock their iPhone, which currently supports basebands 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04, and 06.15.00 for iPhone 3GS and baseband 01.59.00 for iPhone 4
