iOS 11.4 includes a number of new features such as Messages in iCloud, AirPlay 2, but it looks like it is also causing problems for some users.
We had heard some reports of heavy battery drain by iPhone users after upgrading to iOS 11.4 but some users are reporting some strange iPhone camera related problems as well.
Users are reporting that they are getting a black screen when they’re using the iPhone camera.

In one case, the user is unable to use the iPhone camera as the view is “jumping around” while taking a photo so it is difficult to focus on a subject and take a photo. The issue is seen in other modes such as video, portrait etc except for slow-mo video mode.
Updated my daughter’s iPhone to iOS 11.4. Camera shot. Still working with Apple Support on this but highly doubt this will get fixed. Sad 🍎 @briantong pic.twitter.com/V6Xk4x679b

The black screen issue while using the iPhone camera seems to be the most common issue. The issues seems to be affecting most iPhone models though we are yet to see an issue reported by an iPhone X user.
It is strange that users are facing an issue with the iPhone camera as there hasn’t been any changes or improvements announced for native camera app in iOS 11.4.
