Some products are more susceptible to parody than others, and of course Apple’s methodology for talking about new products make them an easy target.
Listening to Jony Ive talk about something like a new iPhone, for instance, can open up the parody opportunities, and a show like The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is mor than willing to take advantage of those openings. Throw in something like the “Designed by Apple in California” design picture book, which tops out at $300, and was launched earlier this week.
In the video, we see a variety of people talking up the new design book, noting its fantastic features like “touch page” technology, making it easier to turn those big pages with beautiful pictures of Apple products you “probably already have in your basement.”
There’s even a joke in there about the design book not having a headphone jack!
