Last night, the Pangu team released their jailbreak tool for iOS 9.2 – iOS 9.3. The tool requires one to use the 25PP installer app that is only available for Windows thereby leaving Mac users out from all the fun. Thanks to developers Ahmed ALNeaimy and iMokhles though, it is now possible to jailbreak any 64-bit iOS 9.2 – iOS 9.3 device without the need of a PC altogether.

Just like with JailbreakMe back in the days, you simply visit the PPHelper website in Safari on your iOS 9.2 – iOS 9.3.3 running device, tap the Install button, and follow the relatively rudimentary steps to jailbreak it.

The website/tool will work on the same set of devices that the Pangu’s team jailbreak is compatible with. This includes the following devices:

  • iPhone 5s
  • iPhone 6
  • iPhone 6 Plus
  • iPhone 6s
  • iPhone 6s Plus
  • iPhone SE
  • iPad mini 2/3/4
  • iPad Air / 2
  • iPad Pro
  • iPod Touch 6G

Since this is still a semi-tethered jailbreak, you will have to repeat certain parts of the jailbreaking process every time after you restart your iOS device. However, since this method does not require you to connect your iOS device to a PC, it is relatively less troublesome and easy.

If you need help, then check out the video tutorial which shows how to jailbreak iPhone or iPad running iOS 9.3.3 – iOS 9.2 using Safari, without a Mac or PC.

Update 1:

As some of our readers have reported, it looks like there has been a surge in traffic, so the PPHelper website is not loading. You might want to try again later.

Update 2:

We’ve updated the website with the latest link for PPHelper.
