When you hand your device to your child, you might be running a risk of getting some of your apps deleted accidentally. There are also times when you remove an app unintentionally from your iPhone and regret it later. UninstallNever is a brand new jailbreak tweak that will save your day by ensuring this mistake doesn’t happen anymore.
Normally, when you tap and hold on an app icon to remove it, it will enter into wiggle and an ‘x’ button appears at the top corner of the app allowing you to remove it. With UninstallNever, the ‘x’ button will never appear on any of your apps that are in wiggle mode which means that you can never delete it.
The tweak does sound simple but it’s a pretty good idea. Once you install it, there are no settings to configure. Simply try to delete an app and you’ll notice the change.
The tweak doesn’t offer a way to disable it if you want to genuinely delete an app. The only way you can disable it is to uninstall it directly from Cydia which can be quite cumbersome. The developer should have added support for Activator so one could enable or disable this feature using Activator gestures.
The tweak can come in handy if you give your device to your kids, and don’t want them to accidentally delete apps and the associated data.
