iPhone Dev team had released a major update for Redsn0w that made it a lot easier to jailbreak iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 4G and also came with the new re-restore functionality.

iPhone Dev team has now released an update for Redsn0w that includes some bug fixes and the ability to save iOS 6.0 SHSH blobs for iPad mini and iPad 4. iPhone Dev team has also announced that they will be releasing a new version of Ultrasn0w tomorrow, which will be compatible with iOS 6.

Here’s what’s new in Redsn0w 0.9.15b3:

Version 0.9.15b3 fixes the redsn0w “error 2601” that Windows users were seeing using the Restore button.  It also fixes a related Windows iTunes error 14 for stitched files.   Note that if you have a baseband, you should probably avoid stitching and simply use redsn0w’s native Restore (not iTunes).

Those lucky recipients of new iPad minis and iPad4s on Friday can use this redsn0w to save your 6.0 blobs off to Cydia.  First connect your new device and turn it on, then use redsn0w’s Extras->SHSH Blobs->New and point it at the 6.0 IPSW.

Expect an ultrasn0w compatibility update for iOS 6.0 by Friday (mostly useful for 3GS old-bootrom users who are currently enjoying the untethered 6.0 jailbreak!).  Same baseband support as with 5.x.

Please note that Ultrasn0w for iOS 6 will most likely be compatible with older basebands such as 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04, and 06.15.00 for iPhone 3GS and baseband 01.59.00 for iPhone 4.

You can check out this post for more details about the re-restore functionality.

You can download Redsn0w 0.9.15b3 (Redsn0w 0.9.15 beta 3) from this link. If you need help, check our step-by-step tutorial to jailbreak iOS 6 for:

Unfortunately, still no news about the untethered jailbreak for iOS 6 since the last update and support for newer iOS devices like iPad 2, iPad 3, iPhone 4S and iPhone 5.
