Earlier this year, Twitter announced its first broadcast partnership deal with NFL that would see the microblogging service stream 10 Thursday night games starting from September 15th. The company managed to outbid the likes of Facebook, Google, and other major companies whilst securing this deal.

Twitter has been betting big on live streaming and has secured deals with Wimbledon, CBS News, Major League Basketball Association, and more for streaming games and events. Live streaming is crucial for Twitter’s future growth so it’s not surprising that the company is going all out in securing key deals.

In a bid to further reach more viewers, Twitter is reportedly in talks with Apple to bring its official Twitter app to the Apple TV. This would allow millions of Apple TV owners to stream NFL matches live on their living TV through the app whilst catching tweets from millions of other users at the same time.

To bolster the effort, Twitter is in talks with Apple to bring the Twitter app to Apple TV, which would potentially let millions of Apple TV users watch the streaming N.F.L. games, according to the two people briefed on the discussions.

With the first NFL game just a month away, if the talks between Apple and Twitter have been successful, we should see the app being released sometime soon.
