iPhone users seem to be facing quite a few issues after upgrading to iTunes 8 which was released by Apple yesterday.

I had reported earlier that Windows Vista users are facing the blue screen of death (BSOD) after upgrading to iTunes 8.

As per this Apple discussions thread, some iPhone users have also reported problems upgrading iPhone apps in iTunes 8. You can checkout the workaround after the jump.

Workaround for Unknown Error Occurred (5002):

As per this Apple discussions thread, some iPhone users had reported problems upgrading iPhone apps in iTunes 8. They get the
following error message:

"We could not complete your iTunes Store Request.

An unknown error occurred (5002).

There was an error in the Itunes Store. Please try again later."

The error should stop if you follow this workaround:

  • Update the iPhone apps from your iPhone itself and then sync your
    iPhone with iTunes 8.
  • iTunes 8 will transfer the purchases to the
    iTunes library on your computer.

As always, do let us know if you are facing this problems and if the
workaround helps or in case you have figured a better way to resolve
the issue.

I will keep you all posted in case any more details are available on this issue or any other issue so stay tuned here at iPhone Hacks.
