With the release of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus, Apple added some iPad functionality to the iPhone by enabling landscape mode on the home screen and in many apps. Just like on the iPad, apps in landscape mode on the iPhone 6 Plus run in the split mode, usually with a list on the left, and a detail view on the right.
The feature, however, isn’t available on the smaller 4.7-inch iPhone 6 or the 4-inch iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c or iPhone 5. An upcoming jailbreak tweak called Rotate+ enables landscape mode on all iPhones, letting you use the split view in apps.
The developer says the tweak should be coming out on Cydia today or tomorrow, but has already provided a download link to the .deb file for those who can manually install it. Here’s a link to the .deb file.
Let us know what you think of the tweak. Do you need landscape mode on your iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c or iPhone 5?
