Perhaps one of the best new features in iOS 8 is interactive notifications, allowing iPhone and iPad users to respond to messages, calendar invitations, mail, reminders and more without leaving the app they are in. If you cannot wait until the public release of iOS 8 in the fall, Interactive Message Notifications is a new jailbreak tweak that extends the feature to iOS 7 right now.
Interactive Message Notifications is yet another jailbreak tweak that delivers quick reply functionality on iPhone and iPad, but it is the first to adopt the same design as interactive notifications in iOS 8. The tweak adds a quick reply text field that can be accessed by swiping down on a banner notification from Messages or WhatsApp. You can then type your message and hit the Send button.
The tweak is as simple as it sounds, with no additional options to configure through the Settings app. I gave the tweak a test run with both Messages and WhatsApp, and it worked as smooth as a stock feature implemented by Apple. It will be interesting to see if the developer Mohamed Marbouh will extend the tweak to support other third-party apps like Skype, Kik Messenger and BBM.
Interactive Message Notifications is available on the Cydia Store in the BigBoss repository for 99 cents, a price that is well worth it in my opinion. The tweak is easily one of the most simplistic yet useful implementations of quick reply on iOS that I’ve seen over the years. If you are using SmartClose, the developer advises to add WhatsApp to the whitelist in order for this tweak to work right.

If you are looking for more elaborate quick reply jailbreak tweaks, consider looking into Auki or BiteSMS. Auki features quick reply, quick compose and a silent mode, while BiteSMS has even more features like scheduled messages, auto-forward, contact pictures, delayed sending, themes and much more. Both tweaks are also available on Cydia and highly recommended.
