Starting from today, Facebook will automatically enhance your photos uploaded through your iPhone or iPad. The new auto-enhance filter from the social network giant will tweak the light, shadow and other aspects of your image to increase its clarity.
Your uploaded images will also have a slider at the bottom, so that you can increase or decrease the effect of the filter. Previously, the Facebook app for iOS required you to hit the auto-enhance button manually after uploading the image and did not provide anyway to increase or decrease its effect.
These new changes in the Facebook app make it easier and quicker to upload and share photos with your friends. At least now you will not have to discard an uploaded photo because of how dull it looks. The feature is also slated to make its way to the Facebook for Android app “soon.”
The Photos app for Google+ has been offering a similar auto-enhance feature since the last one year. It was only yesterday that the Facebook owned Instagram app was updated to add five new filters in years.
