If you receive a phone call while music is playing on your iPhone, iOS will automatically pause the music. After the call ends, it will then resume the song from the place it was stopped. Unfortunately, those of you who don’t like the way the music gets resumed after a phone call have no way to disable this feature unless you are jailbroken. A jailbreak tweak released recently called PauseAfterCall helps you fix this issue.
When you receive a phone call and iOS pauses the song, the tweak will prevent it from getting resumed after the call ends. Whenever you want, you can start the paused song manually from the app that was playing it. In this way, you can focus on the important points from the phone call without getting distracted by the playing music.
PauseAfterCall works with various third-party apps such as Spotify, Pandora and more. However, you might notice that it doesn’t work well with the stock Music app as noted by the developer also. This happens especially when you were listening to Apple Music before getting a phone call.
The tweak doesn’t come with any configuration so once you’ve installed it, it will automatically get activated and prevent songs from getting resumed after phone calls end.
If you always found it annoying that iOS would start playing a song immediately after a call ended then this tweak is definitely something you should try. While testing it, I realized that the tweak is not always successful in preventing a song from getting played. There are chances that it would fail to work as advertised.
If you’d like to give it a try and see how it performs on your side then you can get PauseAfterCall for free via Cydia’s BigBoss repo.
Currently, you can only jailbreak iOS 9.1 or lower, check our article for the latest update on iOS 9.3.1 – iOS 9.3 jailbreak.
