Ayra, the beautiful jailbreak tweak that gives you quick access to system toggles and Notifications from the Lock screen is now available on Cydia.
Surenix, a member of the Evad3rs dev team and developer of the awesome ayecon theme and the Atom lock screen tweak, has teamed up with bensge, the developer of Velox to develop the Lock screen tweak.
Here’s a recap of the features:
- In iOS 7, the lock screen has been completely redesigned. You’re greeted with just the “slide to unlock” text instead of the iconic slide to unlock button with a subtle animation that highlights the text that hints at the direction in which you need to slide to unlock the lock screen. Ayra brings some of that experience to iOS 6 by making the slider button translucent and adding the subtle animation that highlights the text like iOS 7. It looks beautiful.
- It also gives you quick access to 16 system toggles from the Lock screen. You can access it by swiping down from the top of the screen just like you would do for Notification Center. You can swipe from left to right to access more toggles. The toggles can be configured and reordered via the Settings app.
- It also gives you quick access to Notifications from the Lock screen. You can swipe on the Notification to launch the relevant app like you do normally or tap on it to get options to either dismiss (Remove) the notifications or launch the relevant app.
- The panel for Notifications and the system toggles comes with iOS 7-like translucent background, which looks quite cool.
- You can disable the tweak on the fly via the Settings app (Settings > Ayra > Disable ayra On/Off toggle)
Here’s a demo video of the tweak in action:
The developers have added some nice touches since we previewed the tweak like the iOS 7-style arrows to indicate you can access Notification panel and toggles from the Lock screen and the redesigned Remove and Launch buttons when you tap on a notification.
Ayra is available for $1.99 via the BigBoss repo. It requires iOS 6 or later, and support iPhone and iPod touch initially.
