If you wish to get rid of the annoying sound you hear every time you plug in your iPhone to a power source, you should check out a new jailbreak tweak known as Beep Beep.

The sound and the vibration that takes place when you plug in your iPhone to a charger inform you that it has been connected successfully to a power source. Although this is useful, it can get annoying in some situations, for example when your family is sleeping and the loud beep sound or vibration might wake them up.

Beep Beep is a jailbreak tweak that allows you to modify what happens when you plug in your iPhone to a power source. More specifically, you can configure the sound and vibration that take place when charging is enabled.

Once you install the tweak, venture into its preferences pane to explore the different configuration options that it provides. From there, you can enable or disable the tweak on demand as well as toggle on or off the charging sound and vibration that take place when your device is connected properly to a power source.

In addition, the tweak allows you to prevent the screen from waking up when charging is enabled. The developer also warns that enabling this option will remove all the Activator assignments which use the ‘connected’ or ‘disconnected’ from power source events.

In earlier versions of the tweak, it came with a pack of custom sounds which you could use to customize the charging sound. Unfortunately, it was removed recently due to copyright issues but you should soon see the ability to replace the charging sound with a custom one of your own.

If you’re interested to give this tweak a try, it is available as a free package on Cydia’s BigBoss repo. Let us know what you think about it once you’ve installed it.
