Best Jailbreak Apps and Tweaks of the Week – [January 5 – January 11]

Usually when I’m scrolling through the new tweaks in Cydia I run across 1 or 2 good tweaks and then try to find some other somewhat decent tweaks to fill up the list for the best tweaks of the week. This week was a little different, I ran across quite a few really good tweaks and even a few themes worth mentioning. So, let’s take a look at what was released this week.

Amury – $3.49

This is a really nice theme with 320+ icons and 11 wallpapers. The color scheme reminds me of Ayeris and Soft. All three are great themes, but Amury was just released yesterday and I’ve been using it since. If you were a fan of either Ayeris or Soft, it’s safe to say you’re going to enjoy Amury.

CleanLock – $0.99

This is a new tweak that gives you the ability to hide notifications on your lock screen and to access them, you just need to tap on the right side of the screen. It will allow you to manage your notifications through the uncovered panel. It’s great for keeping your lock screen nice and pretty while still having access to your notifications.

Camrix – $1.99

If you’ve ever needed to acces your camera while still multitask, then you definitely want to check out Camrix. Just set an activator gesture to activate Camrix and once you use it, you’ll have a “pop-out” camera in the foreground while you’re still able to access everything else on your device. You’re able to change the shape and size of the camera in the settings as well.

Circulate – $0.99

Circulate lets you independently theme your Clock app. It has some pretty nice animations and themes that are worth checking out. All the themes are animated as well, so you will have a second/minute/hour hand on all the themes. Check out the video below to get a better idea of how it works.

panicLock Pro [iOS 8] – $0.99

Here is a tweak for those of you that need a little more privacy. All you need to do for this tweak it set an activator gesture. Once you do that, you can set it to lock down specific apps, like Messages, or Photos. To deactivate it, just do the activator gesture again. There’s also a free version of this tweak that will lock down every app (panicLock), but it won’t give you the option to only lock down specific apps.

Moveable – Free

This tweak allows you to move status bar indicators around within the status bar. Let’s say for instance you want to move your clock to the right of the status bar, well you can do just that. You can even hide whatever indicator you’d like with this tweak. It’s very self explanatory how it works, but if you want a quick run down, check out the video below. You will have to add this repo in order to download: http:/tateu.net/repo/

Yume – $1.49

This is another theme that I thought looked pretty nice. It has a very soft color palette, but when paired with the right wallpaper, it looks really nice. Yume comes with wallpapers as well so you can choose from those or set your own. It’s always nice to have a few themes in Winterboard in case you want to switch it up for a day or two.

Folderix – $0.99

Folderix is going to give you the ability to open a folder, then swipe on on the folder name to go to the next folder on your springboard. The tweak also gives you the option to change the color of the folder background, but it didn’t work too well for me, so keep that in mind.

CheeseCake – Free

This tweak is a very subtle tweak, but still really nice. It gives you the Android L sleep animation. So when you put your device to sleep, you get a nice zoom out/fade out animation. Obviously, this can’t really be shown in a screenshot to check out the video to see it in action.

SubtleLock – $1.00

This tweak would be a really nice tweak to have if all the options worked. It’s still not too bad with the options that do work. SubtleLock gives you a minimalistic lock screen that shows the time in the left top hand corner and the date in the top right. You have the option to change the font color/thickness in the settings, but they’re kind of finicky. If you want to change the position of the “slide to unlock” text, you can do so with this tweak, but if you try to change the clock to use “Dual Clocks” it will most likely not work. A lof of features don’t work on this tweak, but I’d assume they’ll be fixed in a future update.
