Just yesterday we posted about BlurSlide, a jailbreak tweak that brings the “slide to unlock” design from iOS 6 to iOS 7. If you are looking to take it one step further, ClassicLockScreen is another jailbreak tweak that replaces the entire Lock screen on iOS 7 with an iOS 6 stylized theme. Take a closer look at the tweak ahead.
ClassicLockScreen replicates the Lock screen user interface from iOS 6 on iPhone, with features including multi-language support, four-digit passcode support, digits only passcode support, alphanumerical passcode support, iOS 6 media controls, iOS 6 numerical keypad, notifications support, iOS 6 unlock sound and more.
The tweak is also fully compatible with Winterboard themes for further customization and theming. The package is recommended to be installed on a stable Wi-Fi connection, as several images are partial zipped from Apple. It make take a number of minutes for the package to fully install.
For the best experience with ClassicLockScreen, its developer CoolStar recommends using the following jailbreak tweaks: iOS 6 Complete, ClassicDock, ClassicBadges, ClassicSwitcher, SixBar and ClassicBattery. The tweak has a number of options that can be configured through its preferences menu in the Settings app.
While you might have regretfully updated beyond iOS 6 to install compatible apps and remain on the latest software version, ClassicLockScreen is a nostalgic tweak that at least returns the look and feel of iOS 6 on your Lock screen. If you prefer the iOS 6 appearance, then installing this tweak is a no brainer.
ClassicLockScreen is 99 cents on Cydia in the default BigBoss repo.
