Facebook Reactions

If you love emoji, especially in your Facebook News Feed, well then the social networking giant has great news for you.

Following on the heels of discovering a new way to say happy birthday to friends and family, Facebook’s rolling out “Reactions,” which is a handful of new ways to express yourself the next time you see a status update you really want to interact with. These reactions are tiny character emoji, and they represent seven different things:

There’s a characterization for “like” now, for instance. The others include “Haha,” “Yay,” “Sad,” “Love,” “Angry,” and “Wow.”

Accessing Reactions is easy enough, with users on the desktop simply hovering their mouse over the “Like” button on a post they want to interact with, and then the Reactions will pop up. (This feature hasn’t worked for me yet.) On mobile, simply tap the “Like” button and you’ll be provided with access to the different Reactions.

What do you think of the new options?
