iPhone 6s - 3D Touch - Live Photos

Live Photos is one of the flagship features that is exclusively available only on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus

But if you’ve jailbroken iOS 9 – iOS 9.0.2 using Pangu Jailbreak, then you can enjoy the feature even on older iOS devices thanks to a new jailbreak tweak called EnableLivePhotos.

Once you install the jailbreak tweak, you will see the new Live Photos toggle in the Camera app. When the toggle is enabled, when you take a photo, it will automatically record a few moments before and after you tap on the shutter button just like Live Photos.

You also see the Live Photos animate slightly when you swipe through the photos in the Photos app. To view a Live Photo, all you need to do is tap and hold on it in the Photos app to bring it to life.

The tweak also allows you to set Live Photos as the wallpaper on your iPhone’s Lock screen. If you tap on the Share button, you should see a new Live Photos tab along with Still and Perspective. To view the Live Photo on the Lock screen, simply tap and hold on the wallpaper, and it will start animating.

You can see it in action in the video below:

EnableLivePhotos is easily the best implementation of the Live Photos on older devices. It seems like the developer has managed to port the feature from an iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus to older devices. EnableLivePhotos is available for free on Cydia via the BigBoss repo.

The tweak enables Live Photos on iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S.

Let us know what you think of the tweak in the comments.
