Live Wallpaper - Set

iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus come with a number of new features that are not available on older iOS devices. 3D Touch and Live Photos are two hallmark features of these new devices that are not available on older iPhones. But we have seen a number of jailbreak tweaks that have allowed users to enjoy these new features on their older device.

Live Wallpaper is a cool new feature that is exclusive available on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. It allows you to set animated wallpapers and also allows you to set your Live Photos as the background. You can download the still versions of the Live Wallpapers and set them as your iPhone’s wallpaper, but if that is not good enough, and you want to get this feature on your older iOS 9 device then check out the new iOS 9 jailbreak tweak called LiveWallEnabler.

Just as you’d expect, the tweak enables Live Wallpaper for older devices that are running on iOS 9 and don’t support the feature. It adds a new ‘Live’ section to the Wallpaper pane of Settings where you can view all the animated wallpapers. Check this reddit post for more details on how to install LiveWallEnabler.

Once done, head back to the Live Wallpapers section in Settings and you should see the animated wallpapers. To set any as your Lock screen wallpaper, simply tap on it and choose whether it should be set as a static, perspective or Live Photo. Now, when you tap and hold your finger on the Lock screen, the wallpaper will animate just like the Live Wallpaper on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

The tweak’s description states that it works with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus only, but some users have been reporting that it works with the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s as well so if you own any of these devices then you can give it a try.

Let us know how it goes in the comments section below.
