Cydia developer CoolStar is best known for creating tweaks that bring the look and feel of iOS 6 to newer versions of iOS. ClassicDock is one of his creations that has been out on Cydia for a long time but deserves a mention as it was updated for iOS 8 and iPhone 6s Plus recently.

As the name implies, the tweak brings the classical look of the iOS 6 dock to iOS 8. If you’re not fond of the flat look and blurred background of the iOS 8 dock then you can give it a visual uplift with ClassicDock.

Once installed, you will notice that the dock resembles a glass with the reflection of app icons on them. The tweak is a true definition of plug and play as it doesn’t require any configuration to get started. However, if you have Anemone tweak installed, you can switch between the modern and the classic style from there.

If you don’t like the look of the iOS 8 dock and would like to bring back the classical look and feel of iOS 6 then this tweak is a solid choice for you.

ClassicDock is available as a free package on Cydia’s BigBoss repo and supports devices running iOS 7 or iOS 8. Sound off in the comments section below with your opinions on this tweak.
