When you come across a word that you don’t understand while using your iPhone, you can easily look up its definition by holding onto the word and choosing ‘Define’ from the action menu. ‘Define Activator’ is a new jailbreak tweak that makes this task a lot easier.
As the name implies, the tweak allows you to define words via an Activator gesture rather than holding on a word to define it. When you invoke the tweak using Activator, an interface pops up that allows you to type in the word and press ‘Define’ to look up for its meaning.
This comes quite in handy when you want to know about a word which is not on the screen. After tapping on the ‘Define’ button, the iOS dictionary pops up explaining the meaning of the word to you. The tweak’s interface can be accessed from anywhere within iOS as long as you can invoke the Activator gesture which you’ve assigned to it.
After installing Define Activator, there’s nothing much you have to do. All that is needed is to assign a specific Activator gesture to the tweak and you’re good to go. To do this, venture into the Settings app and head to the Activator preferences pane. From there, choose a gesture of your choice and assign it to the tweak. Once you’re done, you should be able to invoke the tweak and define a word within a matter of seconds.
Define Activator is a must have tweak for those that require quick access to a dictionary. If you’re interested to give it a try, it can be downloaded for free via Cydia’s BigBoss repo. You’re also required to have Activator installed.
