InstaLauncher: Custom App Launcher for your iPhone [Jailbreak Tweak]

InstaLauncher, developed by Jonathan Winger Lang, is a custom launcher for your iPhone that allows you to browse and launch apps in a pretty cool way.  It gives you the ability to quickly access recent apps as well as your favorites when activated.

The first thing you’ll need to do after downloading InstaLauncher is set up an activation method. Once your activator is set up, it’s time to start customizing the tweak to your liking.  The first option you have is to hide any app that you’d like. This may be useful for apps you need on your device, but don’t want to clutter your tweak with. A simple toggle will do it.

Next up is your Recent Panel and Favorites Panel.   This is where you can enable/disable either and change the layout.  You can also set your favorite apps which can be accessed from the custom Launcher so they are more easily accessible. You can add as many applications as you’d like to your Favorites Panel, but there is limited space. If you choose too many, the apps will be scaled down to accommodate and it doesn’t look too good.

Here is the Recent/Favorites Panel (left) and the list of applications when the “M” is highlighted (right).

If you tap the open space on the right side of the screen while in the tweak, the A-Z panel will switch sides if you prefer it to be on the right.

I liked the idea behind the tweak, and it also looks quite cool with the translucent background. It works on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It is compatible with iOS 5.x.x – iOS 6.x.x.

You can download InstaLauncher from Cydia for $1.99.
