MoonSilent

Although you can silent your iPhone to prevent getting notified of incoming calls and notifications, they will still pile up on your Lock screen as well as vibrate your device. MoonSilent is a new jailbreak tweak that saves you from this annoyance.

The tweak allows you to hide incoming notifications and calls on your iPhone as well as prevent them from appearing on the Lock screen as well as the Notification Center. In addition, the tweak provides the ability to disable vibration whenever there’s a new notification. This can come quite in handy if you’re in a meeting where ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode will not suffice.

The interesting feature of the tweak is that you can quickly enable or disable it via an Activator gesture rather than venturing into its preferences pane to toggle it on or off.

From the tweak’s preferences pane, you can choose the Activator gesture which you’d like to use to invoke MoonSilent, hide incoming calls and notifications as well as prevent them from appearing on the Lock screen or Notification Center. Hiding the notifications will also hide the banners from appearing.

After you’ve made the changes, you’re required to press the ‘Apply Changes’ button at the end of the pane for the new settings to be applied.

Once MoonSilent is enabled, an icon will appear in the status bar indicating that it has been activated. Keep in mind that hiding calls will not end the incoming phone calls. They will continue to ring in the background without displaying on the screen.

If you’re in to give this tweak a try, MoonSilent can be purchased for $1.00 from Cydia’s BigBoss repo.
