If you’ve taken screenshots on your iPhone, you’ll know that the Status Bar also appears in the screenshots, which in most cases is redundant. NoBarScreen is a new jailbreak tweak that allows you to take a screenshot without the Status Bar.
Just as you can see in the screenshot on the right (above), the Status Bar remains hidden with the tweak installed. You’ll notice that the right picture appears a bit stretched out than the first one in order to hide the Status Bar.
Once you install NoBarScreen, there are no settings to configure. It would have been nice to have an Activator action or Flipswitch to enable or disable the ability to take screenshots with or without the Status Bar on the fly.
The tweak is also quite unstable at the moment, as it was causing my iPhone to go into safe mode whenever I tried to take a screenshot in an application such as Safari. The only place that it works properly is the Home screen so I would recommend you to wait for the developer to release an update to fix the crashing issue.
NoBarScreen is available on Cydia’s BigBoss repository for free and supports both iOS 7 and iOS 8 devices.
