How to opt out of Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile’s customer tracking programs

opt-outCellular carriers in the U.S. might be selling anonymised information about paying customers to third-parties like advertisers, but there’s a way you can opt out of this tracking. We’ve already covered how AT&T subscribers can opt-out, and below we tell you ways to opt out of Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon’s similar programs.


Verizon subscribers can opt out of the carrier’s program to sell “Customer Proprietary Network Information” to third parties by calling 1–800–333–9956 or you can login to My Verizon, go to Account > Account Profile > Alerts and Preferences and click on Manage Privacy settings.


Sprint fortunately made its customer information selling program opt-in, so if you haven’t opted in, your information isn’t being sold. Subscribers who are opted-in can opt out by going to


T-Mobile subscribers can adjust their settings through My T-Mobile website, or call 1-800-937-8997. To opt-out of personalisation done using cookies, you can opt-out from here.

You can also opt out of personalised advertising on the web by heading to AdChoices’ opt out page. Note that you’ll have to do this for each browser you use.
