When you send an iMessage or SMS in Messages app, a thin progress bar appears right below the navigation bar that indicates the delivery progress of your message. When the bar fills, it means that the message has been delivered successfully. SendPercentage is a new jailbreak tweak that lets you view the delivery progress in more detail.

The tweak displays the delivery progress information in percentage so that you can get an exact idea of when the message will be sent. This information is displayed right at the top of the default progress bar.

After installing SendPercentage, head to a specific conversation in Messages, compose your message and tap on the send button. You’ll notice that the contact’s name in the navigation bar changes immediately to show the percentage delivery progress. The number increases gradually until the message is sent successfully, after which it is replaced with the contact’s name.

If your message is sent quickly then the percentage will not be displayed. It is only displayed when there is a delay in the delivery so that you can get an exact idea of how much is left before the message is sent to the recipient. Whether you send an iMessage or an SMS message doesn’t matter because the tweak supports both message types.

In terms of usefulness, I think that the default progress bar that appears below the navigation bar is quite informative for guessing the delivery progress.  Many of us don’t really care what exactly the deliver progress is in terms of percentage. Yet, it completely depends on which one you prefer so I’ll leave this up to you.

If you’re interested to try this tweak, SendPercentage can be installed for free from the following source: http://leftyfl1p.github.io/. Let us know what you think about the tweak in the comments section below.
