The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have leaked so many times this month that there is little left to know about them. Perhaps, the only thing unknown about the handsets were its release date which has now been leaked by prolific leaker @evleaks.
As per @evleaks, Apple will be releasing the new iPhones in the week starting September 12th. Given that the Cupertino company usually releases new iPhones on Friday, we are likely looking at a release date of 16th September for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. This pegs the unveiling event of the device to take place in the week beginning 5th September.

Leaks have pointed to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus sporting modest design changes, including water-resistance and stereo speakers. The rear panel of the devices also sports a cleaner design thanks to the antenna lines being repositioned. They will also feature a larger camera sensor for improved imaging performance, with the iPhone 7 Plus featuring a dual-lens setup at the rear.
Due to the relatively modest changes and no major design upgrade, not many existing customers are expected to upgrade to the iPhone 7. Thus, it will be interesting to see how the first weekend sales of the iPhone 7 turn out to be this time around.
