Recording your iPhone or iPad screen is a feature that is still missing in iOS. It is possible to record via Mac by using QuickTime Player but this is not a convenient option as most of the times, users wish to record right from their device.
There are a bunch of different screen recording apps outside the App Store that do a pretty good job when it comes to recording your iPhone or iPad screen. The best part is that you don’t even need to jailbreak as you can sideload these apps onto your iOS device using Cydia Impactor.
One of the best screen recording apps for iPhone and iPad is AirShou. Apart from allowing you to record your screen right from your device, the app allows you to broadcast your recordings as well.
Here’s how to install AirShou on iOS 10 iPhone or iPad without jailbreaking.
Download and Install AirShou IPA on iOS 10 iPhone or iPad
Step 1: Download AirShou on your computer, as well as Cydia Impactor.
Step 2: Connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer.
Step 3: Drag and drop the AirShou IPA file onto Cydia Impactor.
Step 4: A popup appears for entering your Apple ID and password. This is sent to Apple to generate a signing certificate for the app. Once you enter your credentials, Cydia Impactor will begin installing AirShou onto your device and you should see the app’s icon after the installation is complete.
Step 5: Before launching AirShou, go to Settings > General > Profiles (or ‘Device Management’).
Step 6: Open the profile labelled with your Apple ID, and then tap on the Trust button.
Now that you’ve installed AirShou, you can use it to record your iPhone or iPad screen. Open the AirShou app and you’ll find an option for screen recording. Tap on it, set the configuration (video name, orientation, and quality), and then follow the on-screen instructions for starting the recording.
