With all the excitement around the possibility of iOS 11.1.2 jailbreak, if you’re wondering if a jailbreak tool will be released for tvOS 11 or later, then we’ve some good news.

iOS Developer and hacker, Jonathan Levin, who had released LiberTV to jailbreak Apple TV running on iOS 10 – iOS 10.1 earlier this year, has announced that he plans to release a jailbreak tool for tvOS 11.0 and tvOS 11.1 which can be used to jailbreak Apple TV 4 and Apple TV 5 (Apple TV 4K).

He has said that he should be able to release it as soon as he can completely disable code signing. While he has briefly mentioned that it should take a day or so, he has requested Twitter users not to nag him for an ETA. He also goes on to add that he will release the iOS 11.1.2 jailbreak toolkit shortly after releasing the Apple TV jailbreak.

So it could be released even before the iOS 11.1.2 jailbreak. You won’t be able to jailbreak iOS 11.1.2 with the toolkit, but according to Levin it should help jailbreak developers to create the iOS 11.1.2 jailbreak and release it to the public.

tvOS 11.2.1 is the latest update for Apple TV, so if you are on tvOS 11.1 or lower then you should stay where you are, so you can jailbreak it.
