Some would argue that messaging on your device is the most important feature. It allows you to immediately express a thought, set up a meeting, or even just to send a quick smiley face to a friend. Anyone with a smartphone uses messaging on a daily basis, so today we’re going to show you 7 ways to enhance your messaging experience.In order for you to be able to take full advantage of these tips, you’ll have to be jailbroken. Change your Font
You’ll need to download BytaFont2 from Cydia, which is free and was recently updated for iOS 7, in order to change the default font. There are a ton of different fonts to choose from and more coming almost daily. To download different fonts, navigate to Cydia>Sections>Fonts(BytaFont2) and then you can search through different fonts to choose your favorite.
Easier Text Editing
The native way of editing your text can be a hassle. You have to tap, hold, and use that painful magnifying glass to place your cursor where you want it and it can be a real chore. Well, SwipeSelection has a solution for that. It makes placing your cursor, deleting, selecting, or any type of editing much, much easier. Check out the video of all of it’s features below.
Deleting All Messages
If you like to do a little ‘spring cleaning’ every once in awhile, or even often, then you need to check out DeleteAllMessages. This is a simple tweak that takes the tedious task of having to manually delete each conversation into 3 simple steps. Tap Edit > Delete All >Confirm. That’s all there is to it. Theme your Keyboard
The native keyboard really isn’t too bad, but being able to theme it does make it better. If you want a dark keyboard, then check out Bloard because it does just that.
If you want something with a little color, then you can check out BlueBoard which gives you a dark keyboard, with blue accented keys. Check out the video below!
If that doesn’t suffice then check out ColorY0urBoard, which allows you to change of the keyboard to anything you want.
Make Texting More Convenient
Quick reply and quick compose is something every jailbroken device should have. And you can have it for free. Just go into to Cydia and download Couria. You’re going to be able to text from anywhere on your device. It’s going to give you all the features you need in a nice, lightweight package.
Straight to the Conversation List
In the stock Messages app, if you’re in a conversation and go to the springboard or another app, when you launch the Messages app, it puts you directly back into that conversation. Well, now there’s MessagePopper. This tweak does the simple task of opening the Messages app directly to the conversation list rather than inside of a single conversation. This makes it easier to select the conversation you want, without having to back out each time you open the app.
Total Customization
Theming the Messages app makes it all that much more fun to hang around in. With an app that you’re using constantly, it’d be nice if it looked the way you wanted it to. Now you can, with Message Customiser. This tweak has a ton of different options, from changing your and the recipients messages bubbles, to changing the background, the shape of the message bubbles and so much more. This is a must-have tweak for you hardcore texters.
