I take a lot of screenshots on my iPhone and then end up forgetting about them. These screenshots then remain in my photo library, taking up space unnecessarily. With Screeny, a new iOS app, you can filter all screenshots from your photo library, and delete them easily, without having to scroll through the entire library.
Here’s how you do it:
- Purchase and install Screeny ($0.99) from the App Store.
- Open the app, and click on the Start Scanning button. The app will take some time to find all your screenshots.
- You’ll see all the screenshots, laid out in a grid. A red checkmark indicates the photo is selected for deletion.
- You can deselect a photo by tapping on it, in case you want to keep it.
- There are easy, time based filters available when you tap the arrow button on the top right. You can select all photos, photos that are older than 15 days, or a month.
- Once you’ve ensured that the selection is what you want, tap on the delete/trash icon at the bottom to delete the screenshots.
If you take a ton of screenshots, Screeny is going to help you save a lot of storage space. The app works only on the iPhone or iPod touch, and requires iOS 8.1 and up.
