Before the Apple Card was even launched to the public, its terms and conditions created quite an uproar as the customer agreement forbid the feature from working on jailbroken iPhones. With a public jailbreak available for the latest iOS release for the first time in years and Apple Card launching publicly in the United States today, many users are wondering if they would be able to use Apple Card on their jailbroken iPhone.

If you are on the same boat, the answer to your question is a resounding yes. You can apply for and use Apple Card on your jailbroken iPhone running iOS 12.4 without any issues. In case you had been holding out to apply for Apple Card because your iPhone was jailbroken, you can now go ahead and apply without any worries.

I will not say there is no risk associated with using Apple Card on a jailbroken iPhone though. Apple could possibly make some server-side changes that could prevent Apple Card from working on jailbroken iPhones. In the worst-case scenario, the company could detect that you are using Apple Card on a jailbroken iPhone and ban your account.

What you can do is use some tweaks to hide the jailbroken state of your iPhone from the Wallet app on your iPhone. This method has worked for many banking apps and should be good enough to fool Apple’s Wallet app as well.

Will you be applying for Apple Card on your jailbroken iPhone? Or you are going to wait for a few days and then make the jump? Drop a comment and let us know!
