Tutorial videos are not new for Apple, and the company has added another one to its growing library.

Apple on Friday has published a new how-to video, this time detailing one of the most exciting features the company debuted with the Apple Watch Series 4 last year. The video details how to take an ECG with the smartwatch, which, all things considered, is a pretty straightforward process. That’s especially true considering the tutorial video is just over 30 seconds long:

Here’s Apple’s description of the video:

“With the ECG app on Apple Watch Series 4, you can take an electrocardiogram right from your wrist. Learn how to do even more at”

Once the test is completed, the user can quickly scroll through the results on the device. Apple will also offer up next steps that the user can take if necessary. One of the best features is the ability to add a symptom alongside the ECG’s results. That way if something feels off, the user can add that symptom along with the reading, which can be cataloged by health professionals at a later date if necessary.

Unfortunately, the ECG feature on the Apple Watch Series 4 is only available in the United States for now. However, Apple clearly has its sights set on expanding the feature to other countries at some point in the future. And it’s worth noting that while the ECG app has already been tagged as a tool in saving a person’s life, some health professionals aren’t so keen on the feature as a generally-available feature.

If you picked up the Apple Watch Series 4 and can use the ECG feature, what do you think of it?
