Contrary to the popular belief, Deutsche Bank analysts believe that Apple will be including a Lightning port to 3.5mm audio jack converter with the iPhone 7, instead of new Lightning EarPods. They are making this prediction based on their own supply-chain checks.

While this is the first time we are hearing such a prediction, it does make a lot of sense as it will ensure that users would still be able to plug in their existing headphones or earphones to the new iPhones. While Apple could always sell the converter separately, it could receive a lot of criticism for it.

The analysts at Deutsche Bank also predict that the iPhone 7 Plus will come with a dual-camera setup at its rear with zoom capabilities. There have been numerous leaks on this front, and it is a given now that the iPhone 7 Plus will indeed come with a dual-camera setup. However, it is still not confirmed if the twin camera lens setup will help the larger iPhone to offer better imaging performance or zoom capabilities. Their report also says that the iPhone 7 will not only feature an improved camera, but it will also come with OIS.

Other predictions made by the analysts include stereo speakers, “professional class water-proofing”, a touch-based Home button, a new color, and lack a 3.5mm audio jack. All these predictions have already been confirmed by various leaks and reports.

The analysts also predict that the modest changes will lead to fewer people buying the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, though Apple will manage its stock better this time around to make sure this decline does not affect it.
