Cydia Impactor is a tool which allows unsigned iOS apps to be installed on your iPhone. The Yalu jailbreak for iOS 10 – iOS 10.2 can be installed using Cydia Impactor, but there are various errors that users face which prevents the installation of this jailbreak.
One common error thrown by Cydia Impactor is “provision.cpp:150” which requires an app-specific password to be entered. This error is displayed when you have two-factor authentication enabled for your Apple ID. To fix it, you’ll have to generate an app-specific password and use that in Cydia Impactor instead of your normal password.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to fix the provision.cpp:150 error in Cydia Impactor when jailbreaking iOS 10 – iOS 10.2.
How to Fix provision.cpp:150 Error in Cydia Impactor
Step 1: Open this page in Safari or any other browser and sign in to your Apple ID account.
Step 2: Scroll down to the Security section and click on the Edit button.
Step 3: In this section, find the “APP-SPECIFIC PASSWORDS” part and then click on Generate Password.
Step 4: Enter a name for the password, which could be anything like “YaluJailbreak” and then click on the Create button.
Step 6: Now, when Cydia Impactor asks you to enter your Apple ID password, use the password generated in the last step.
By using an app-specific password that you created in the guide above, Cydia Impactor will no longer display the “provision.cpp: 150” error. If at any time you disable two-factor authentication for your account, then you have to use your normal password in Cydia Impactor rather than the generated app-specific password.
If the above method doesn’t work for you, then an alternative fix would be to disable two-factor authentication temporarily, install the Yalu jailbreak and then re-enable two-factor authentication.
