I type a bunch on my iPhone. Be it text, emails, notes i’m tapping away on my device. But when I make mistakes or need to delete a word, that means even more taps. If you have a long word, tapping numerous times can be pretty time-consuming and annoying overall. You can hold the delete key to enable full-word deletion, but that deletes a bunch of letters before deleting single words and is hard to control. But with DeleteCut you can delete whole words at any time by holding the shift key and the delete key simultaneously.
Delete Whole Words Instantly in iOS 9
You will need to have a jailbroken device in order to download this tweak. Open up Cydia and search DeleteCut by r_plus. Install the tweak and respring your device.
Once your device is back on, DeleteCut will be installed and ready to go; there is no need to adjust any settings in the Settings App. The default, and currently only option, is Shift + Delete, to remove the entire word. When you hold the shift key, you’ll see that the delete key turns red. This means that DeleteCut is active and if you tap on the delete key (while still holding shift) the words you have typed can be deleted.
While there is nothing that you need to change in Settings, you can adjust the color of the delete key from that default red color. Head to Settings -> DeleteCut, and in the menu tap on color and select a different option from the color array.
I have been using this tweak for the entire day and must admit I use it often. My typing skills aren’t at peak performance so mistakes are made constantly why I try to type quickly. Using DeleteCut makes rectifying those errors a much quicker process.
