Fantasy football season is almost here, and that’s really about the only time I want to know what week it is out of the year. But more professional or organized folks will probably find other uses for knowing the exact calendar week. Every iPhone, iPad, and iPod comes with the Calendar app where you can view the date, schedule appointments, and so on. But you can also enable the “week of the year” view in the options.

Showing the week numbers is a little known option located in Settings. Head over to Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

iPhone - Calendar - Settings

In Mails, Contacts, Calendars scroll down to the Calendars section and toggle “Week Numbers” on. Calendar week numbers will now be added.

You can see the week numbers penned in light gray directly to the left of the Sunday column. That’s about it. You can toggle the feature off by going back into Settings and disabling the option. So, now that I can view which week out of the year it is, my fantasy team will be structurally indomitable and deadly accurate.
