How to Install Kodi 17 on iPhone or iPad on iOS 10 – iOS 10.2

Kodi, formerly known as XBMC, is a media player app that that acts as a hub for storing and accessing various kinds of content such as TV shows, movies, songs, pictures and can also stream content over the internet. Kodi supports a wide range of devices including iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, and Linux.

One of the interesting features of Kodi is that it allows users to install third-party add-ons to enhance the user experience. Some example of add-ons include Exodus for streaming movie and TV shows online, weather forecasts, email clients and more.

Kodi can be installed on both a jailbroken and a non-jailbroken iPhone or iPad. The two guides below will show you how to install Kodi 17 Krypton on iOS 10 with or without using a jailbreak.

How to Install Kodi 17 Without Jailbreak on iPhone or iPad

Step 1: Download the following files onto your computer:

Step 2: Connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer using a USB cable.

Step 3: Open Cydia Impactor and drag and drop the Kodi 17 IPA file onto it.

Step 4: You’ll be prompted to enter your Apple ID and password, which is sent to Apple to generate a signing certificate. If you’re concerned about this, you can create a new Apple ID and use that instead.

Step 5: Once you enter your Apple ID information, Cydia Impactor will begin installing Kodi 17 onto your device. After it’s done, you should see the app’s icon on your device’s Home screen.

Step 6: Before opening Kodi, go to Settings -> General and tap on Profile (or ‘Device Management’).

Step 7: Find the profile labelled with your Apple ID and open it.

Step 8: Tap on the Trust button.

Step 9: Go back to the Home screen and open Kodi.

How to Install Kodi 17 with Jailbreak

Update: it seems like Kodi crashes on iOS 10. Please use the non-jailbreak method above.

Step 1: Open Cydia and go to the Source tab.

Step 2: Tap on Edit -> Add

Step 3: Type the following into the URL field: http://mirrors.kodi.tv/apt/ios/

Step 4: Press Add Source.

Step 5: Once Cydia finishes adding the packages from this source, press the Return to Cydia button.

Step 6: In the sources tab, open ‘team Kodi’.

Step 7: Go to Multimedia and open Kodi-iOS. Then press the Install button.

  • If you can’t find Multimedia, simply press the Edit button and toggle on Multimedia.

Step 8: Cydia will begin installing Kodi. After it’s done, press the Return to Cydia button.

Step 9: Go to the Home screen and open Kodi.
