iOS 13

Apple released the second developer beta of iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 earlier today. Unlike the first beta, this build weighs in at around 280MB meaning it does not pack the same number of changes and enhancements which the initial iOS 13.1 beta packed.

Apple will likely release iOS 13.1 to the public in October and since the company will be busy with the release of iOS 13 this month, it makes sense that it is now focusing on bug fixes instead of adding new features and enhancements.

Below is everything that’s new in iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 Beta 2.

What’s New in iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1  Beta 2

New Photo Deletion Animation

There’s a new animation while deleting photos from within the Photos app in iOS 13.1 Beta 2.

Resize Lock Screen Wallpapers

Apple has fixed the bug and restored the ability to resize lock screen wallpapers in the latest iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 beta.

Fixed Share Menu

The beta build finally fixes the broken ShareSheet found in the previous beta builds.

No Sidecar Until new macOS Catalina Beta

If you install iPadOS 13.1 beta 2 on your iPad, you won’t be able to use Sidecar until Apple releases a new macOS Catalina beta.

Hangouts Working Again

The Hangouts app once again works properly on iOS 13.1 beta 2.

Apart from a number of other bug fixes, I have not noticed any other changes in iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 Beta 2.

If you have come across more changes in the latest beta builds of the OS that’s not mentioned above, drop a comment and let us know about it!
