Some alleged photos of the iPhone 7 case have been leaked by the reliable sources of Nowhereelse that show the 4.7-inch handset as having four different speakers. This is the first time that a rumor or leak has pointed to the iPhone 7 coming with four different speakers. Previous leaks have pointed to the handset likely coming with a stereo speaker set up at the bottom.
The prototype iPhone 7 cases show two speakers sitting at the bottom and two at the top. Keeping in mind that the iPhone 7 houses a relatively small 4.7-inch screen, it remains unclear how having four speakers on the handset will be beneficial in any way, except for obviously being loud. The photos also show a missing cut out for the 3.5mm audio jack, which once again confirms that Apple will be ditching the jack with its upcoming new iPhones.
The case in the photos features a single camera set up at its rear unlike the iPhone 7 Plus that is rumored to sport a dual camera set up. The photos were taken from a promotional video by an Italian casemaker, who apparently received an iPhone 7 prototype ahead of its unveiling in September to manufacture cases for it.
This is the first time that we have heard about the iPhone 7 featuring four different speakers. Until and unless other sources corroborate this news, I will recommend our readers to consider this as a rumor and take it with a pinch of salt.
What do you think?
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to feature a minor redesign over their predecessor that will see the ugly antenna lines being removed from the rear. All leaks do point towards Apple focusing more on the camera of the handsets, instead of a complete design overhaul as it has usually done every alternate year.
