We may have a few months to wait for the iPhone 7, but if you already own an iPhone 6s, there is way to create your own. The video below walks you through the simple transformation process, which requires just a few power tools.
As you’ll see, this hack is not for the feint of heart. You’re going to need a steady hand and bags of bravery to pull it off — as well as a couple of iPhone 6s units you’re not all that attached to (or enough money to replace them).
The process starts by eliminating the iPhone’s headphone jack. That’s as easy as melting some older into the port to seal it shut. You will then need a drill to add additional speaker holes, and an angle grinder to remove the camera from your second iPhone 6s.
That camera can then be installed on the other iPhone to provide a dual-lens system, which is expected to make its debut in the iPhone 7 Plus this year. Once that’s done, you just need to add a “deep blue” finish.
It’s as easy as that. You now have an iPhone 7 (almost) before anyone else!
