The Pwn20wnd team is out with a new release for the stable version of Unc0ver v3.3.1 which brings about some massive improvements to the jailbreaking process. While the tool had received a similar update a few months ago, this update takes things to the next level in terms of speed.
As per the developers, jailbreaking an iPhone XS running iOS 12.1.2 using a previous version of Unc0ver used to take 6 seconds. With the latest release, that has now come down to just 2 seconds. The overall system performance and stability should also be better with the latest release of unc0ver. The team does note that in order to experience the speed improvements, one must jailbreak their iPhone or iPad using the latest release of Unc0ver at least once.
Below is the full change-log of the release:
-
Improve the speed of the jailbreak process by a few seconds
-
Fix a bug in dark mode on the iPads
Unc0ver jailbreak was recently updated to add jailbreaking support for iOS 12 – iOS 12.2. Right now, while iPhones and iPads running iOS 12.1.3 to iOS 12.2 can be jailbroken, newer iPhones and iPads powered by the A12 Bionic chip like the iPhone XS, iPhone XR, and 2018 iPad Pro are not supported by it.
You can update to the latest release of Unc0ver jailbreak by updating the app through Impactor or Reprovision and then re-jailbreaking your device. Make sure to check out the list of the best jailbreak tweaks and Cydia sources to have the best jailbreaking experience possible
