Apple’s “See you on the 7th” special event kicks off in just over 48 hours from now at 10:00 am PST or 1:00 pm ET at the Graham Bell Civic Auditorium, where it will launch the highly anticipated next generation iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and Apple Watch 2.
Apple has announced that it will be live streaming the event, so you can watch it live on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows or Android device. If you need help, then you can follow the instructions below.
How to Watch the iPhone 7 Launch Event Live
If you need help, then you can follow the instructions below to watch Apple’s March 21 event live on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Windows PC.
Apple TV 4
If you have the new Apple TV 4 then download the Apple Events app from the tvOS App Store for free if you haven’t done so already.
Apple TV 3 and Apple TV 2
If you have Apple TV 3 or Apple TV 2 with Apple TV software 5.0.2 or later, then navigate to “Apple Events” channel with the ‘Let us loop you in’ event logo on the main menu to watch the event live on your television.
Mac
If plan to watch it on your Mac, then launch Safari browser and point it to the following url: http://www.apple.com/apple-events/september-2016/
iPad, iPhone or iPod touch
If you plan to watch it on your iPhone or iPad, then point mobile Safari to the same URL – http://www.apple.com/apple-events/september-2016/
Windows 10
Windows users can also live stream the event on their PC officially. But there’s a limitation. You can only do it if only on the Microsoft Edge browser which comes with Windows 10.
If you’re on Windows 10, then point Microsoft Edge to the following url – http://www.apple.com/apple-events/september-2016/
Android/Windows 8.1 or lower
There is a workaround to watch the live stream of the event on Windows or even on an Android device. We will update the post with the steps just before the event, so don’t forget to check this post on the day of the event.
- Download VLC, the VideoLan media player.
- Launch the VLC app.
- Navigate to the ‘Media’ tab and select ‘Open Network Stream’.
- In the URL field, type (or copy) the following link. This is the direct location to the stream (which is the stream Apple TV uses internally):
- Press Play.
